Using CAL ► Running CAL programs

Running CAL programs

To interrupt a CAL program while it is running, press the ESC (Escape) key. Press OK to confirm that you want to interrupt the CAL program. As a rule, you shouldn’t interrupt a CAL program in this way unless you suspect it is stuck in an infinite loop.

To open a CAL program

1.

Select the MIDI data you want to edit.

2.

Choose Process > Run CAL.

The Open dialog box appears.

3.

Navigate to the folder that contains the CAL program you want to run.

4.

Choose the file you want to open and click Open.

The CAL program you chose runs and modifies the selected MIDI data.

Tip - Searching Documentation

Note - Using Offline Help

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.

If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
