Opening a file

Use the following procedure to open a file.

To open a file in SONAR

1.

If you haven't already done so, start SONAR.

2.

Choose File > Open.

3.

In the Open dialog box, navigate to the directory where the project you want to open is located and select it.

4.

Click the Open button.

5.

If you are opening an OMF file, the Unpack OMF dialog box appears. Set the initial tempo and specify the directory where you want to save the file and its audio. For more information about opening OMF files, see Unpack OMF dialog.

SONAR loads the project.

Tip - Searching Documentation

Note - Using Offline Help

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.

If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
