MIDI activity indicators

Each MIDI track displays a MIDI playback meter in the Track view, Track Inspector and Console view. The MIDI meter consists of two sections:

MIDI Activity Indicator. The MIDI Activity Indicator lights up whenever a MIDI event is encountered in the track.

MIDI Velocity Meter. The MIDI Velocity Meter shows the greatest current note velocity encountered during playback.

Audio and MIDI meters can be either vertical or horizontal in the Track view. For more information, see Changing the meters’ display.

Note - Using Offline Help

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.

If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
