Reuse existing Take lanes when recording

When loop recording, SONAR will attempt to place new loop passes into existing empty Take lanes whenever possible, or move to a new Take lane in order to keep the loop passes together.

Muted Take lanes are hidden in parent track when collapsed

When Take lanes are collapsed, any muted Take lanes are no longer shown in the parent track strip. This provides a cleaner UI and lets you focus on just the clips that are audible.

Improved lane resizing

When resizing lanes vertically, the clicked lane is anchored to its current position, which ensures the top of the lane remains visible.

Similar to track strips, you can now double-click a Take lane or Automation lane strip background to maximize/restore the lane.

Melodyne dynamic cropping

Cropping Melodyne Region FX clips now dynamically updates the ARA regions. This greatly improves visual editing when comping Melodyne Region FX clips, because you can immediately see in Melodyne which notes are affected by the crop while you drag.

Sample aligned recording

Recording, stopping, and resuming recording is now sample accurate, so unintended tiny clips will no longer create overlaps or extra lanes that can be inconvenient when comping.

Smart tool comping enhancement

When comping with the Smart tool , the tool has different functions depending on whether you click or drag in the top or bottom half of a clip. The middle point of the clip is now clearly delineated by the middle of the waveform (or notes in MIDI clips), without taking the clip header into consideration. Below the middle of the waveform is the Comping function, above the middle of the waveform is the Select function, and the clip header is the Move function.
