Artists in the Rock and Urban genres were invited to submit original tracks to be judged on OurStage.com by fans and a panel of music industry professionals. The top 20 finalists were selected by fans and six grand prize winners (three in each genre) were by industry-leading producers and A&R executives, including Bladimir Jimenez (A&R, Hollywood Records), Leon Zervos (Mastering Engineer, Studios 301), Will Langolf (GM, Career Artist Management), Rob Schustack (Director of A&R, The Orchard), Greg Johnson (A&R, Songs Publishing) and Jimmy R. Landry (Artist Relations, Cakewalk).
"There is some great talent on the charts at Ourstage.com," said Bladimir Jimenez, who has worked with artists such as Breaking Benjamin and Jonas Brothers. "Picking the winners for this contest was difficult, but at the same time it was great to see so many independent artists bring their best to the table."

"With over 4,000 submissions, we were blown away by the response to the contest," said Samantha Coren of OurStage.com's marketing department. "What was even more amazing was the skill level of the artists. We were very impressed by not only the finalists themselves, but by the production quality of their entries."
The Prizes
The six winning artists will receive a complete mobile music production studio worth over $3,000 that includes an Intel Core i7 processor-powered laptop, Cakewalk's V-Studio 100 portable recording solution, the award-winning SONAR Producer 8.5 digital audio workstation software, and MA-15D powered studio monitors. "Intel technologies have been at the core of empowering creativity for decades, not only for professionals but also for aspiring artists," said Mike Rivet, marketing director, Intel Corporation's Software and Services Group. "The quantity of these song submissions and, more importantly, their quality exceeded any expectations we had. Creativity is alive and well and this contest is a great example of that!"
In addition, two Ourstage.com fans were named Best Predictors and awarded Intel Core i7 processor-powered mobile studios of their own worth over $2,000 and include Cakewalk's Music Creator 5 music production software, pyro Audio Creator 1.5 digital music management software, a UA-25EX USB audio interface, and a pair of MA-7A micro studio monitors. Best Predictors are fans whose judging patterns matched closest to the final rankings of the contest.
