Last updated on 3/29/2016

The information in this article applies to:

  • Dimension Pro 1.5
  • SONAR X1 Producer
  • SONAR X2 Producer
  • SONAR X3 Producer

If you have installed Dimension Pro from the full version 1.5 installation, you may receive an “Invalid Registration Code” message the first time you enter your registration code. This can be remedied by launching Dimension Pro with administrative privileges.

To launch Dimension Pro with administrative privileges, simply right-click on the Dimension Pro micro-host and select “Run as Administrator.” (Windows Vista and Windows 7 only)

NOTE: SONAR users can also launch SONAR with Administrative Privileges by right-clicking on the SONAR icon and selecting “Run as Administrator.” Afterwards, create a project and insert Dimension Pro as a soft synth to bring up the registration dialog.

If you have deleted the shortcut to launch the Dimension Pro micro-host, you can find the Dimension Pro application by navigating to the following directories and locating Dimension Pro.exe or Dimension Pro x64.exe

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Dimension Pro

C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Dimension Pro

NOTE: if you installed Dimension Pro to a custom location, the micro-host should be located in the same folder as where you installed the VST version of Dimension Pro.

Once entering your registration code you should receive a message that the code was accepted. If the above does not resolve your issue with registering Dimension Pro or if you need to obtain a registration code, please contact Customer Service.
