Show/hide toast notifications

You can now enable/disable all toast notifications, or only certain notifications, and specify how long notifications should remain visible after the last notification is received.

To configure notification settings

1.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Customization - Display

Under Notifications, select the desired options:

Show Notifications. Show or hide all pop-up toast notifications at the bottom of the screen, including VST Scan, Project Load, and program update notifications.

Show Update Notifications. Show a pop-up toast notification if a program update is available. Your computer must have an active internet connection.

Show Project Load Notifications. Show a pop-up toast notification that shows the status while loading a large project.

Timeout. Specify how many seconds a toast notification should remain visible after the last notification is received. The range is 1–10 seconds, and the default value is 2.

Click OK to close the Preferences dialog box.

Note - Using Offline Help

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.

If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
