The Themes section lets you change the look of SONAR. Choose one of the themes that best suits your preferences.

A UI theme only contains images and colors, and will not change SONAR features or behavior in any way. All UI elements retain their size and position when you switch UI themes.

The Themes section contains the following settings:

Theme

Select the desired UI theme from the Theme drop-down list. The options are as follows:

Tungsten. Uses a dark UI that was designed to prevent eye fatigue during long sessions.

Mercury. Uses the original light SONAR UI.

Click OK or Apply to apply the selected UI theme.

You can further customize themes by changing colors of various UI elements. For details, see Customization - Colors (Advanced).

Edit

The Edit button is only available if the optional SONAR Theme Editor has been installed (see SONAR Theme Editor (Platinum only)). When clicked, the current theme is loaded in SONAR Theme Editor.

 

Note: You cannot modify or overwrite the Mercury or Tungsten factory themes. If you edit a factory theme, you must save it as a new theme.

Preview image

The preview image shows an example of what the selected theme looks like.

Theme info

The information below the preview image shows the theme name, author, and a brief description of the selected theme.
